Halloween Costume Photos

I wanted to take some pictures of Vance and Colton in their cowboy outfits. They were not really in the mood to cooperate so I had to shoot quick and do my best.

What really sucked is that I was in such a hurry I didn't realize my lens was dirty so all the pictures have two smudge marks that make 2 bright spots. I tried editing them but I don't know how to darken just a few spots and not the entire picture. If you know how I would LOVE you if you would edit just like 3 pictures for me.

Pumpkin Patch

My mom and I took Vance, Colton, and Brayden to a pumpkin patch. They had so much fun.

Grandma got tickets for the boys to go on the slide. The worker let them go like 30 times. They were in heaven!

I love fall. It is my favorite season by far! I love the colors, the food, the weather, the holidays, and...the pumpkin patches!

Birthday Princess

I absolutely love my ward! There are tons of young couples and everyone is beyond friendly. They make me feel like we have been friends for years. Last night we had a Girls Night Out to celebrate mine and Jen's birthdays.

Our friend Kayla brought us these pink boas and princess crowns. I think they look pretty good on us.

Here's the group of ladies that I have grown to love so much. Each of them are fabulous in their own way and I know I can count on them if I am ever in a jam.

These girls had to leave a little early so they aren't in the group picture above, but I love them just as much! With Chad at work and school all the time, they are often my sanity.

Isn't the princess theme so cute? Not to mention the cake was delicious. I was already full but managed to eat my piece of cake in record time.
After dinner four of us went to the new Forever 21 in the Fashion Show Mall. AMAZING!!! By the time we got there it was 8:20 and we thought we only had 40 minutes. If you think shopping is a leisure activity you should see 4 shopaholics going to that store for the first time and thinking they only had 40 minutes. You could say we looked like women on a mission. Luckily the store didn't close until 10 so we had plenty of time for shopping. I got a few new things that I can't wait to wear!

My sister, Jennie, came with for the evening. She's not in any pictures because she insisted on taking all of them. I'm so glad she could come and meet my friends and they could meet her. We all had so much fun. Of course she fit right in. Everybody always loves Jennie!

Pop-a-Wheelie

Vance has a new trick where he takes his bike to the back of the house by the sliding glass door. Then he rides as fast as he can and rams into the front door. When he hits the door it makes his back tires pop up. He is very proud of his "pop-a-wheelies."
I tried telling him to slow down, but of course he wouldn't listen. Eventually he hit the door so hard he flipped his bike forward and banged his face into the door. After a few tears, he finally decided to slow down a little. Good things can come out of bad accidents ;)

Day @ Dumont

We went to the sand dunes with some friends on Saturday. Chad and I haven't been to the dunes in forever and had so much fun. We took Colton to keep Vance entertained. The two of them were hilarious!
They talked nonstop about fourlillers (Colton), four-de-doors (Vance), pop-a-wheelies, big jumps, and fast dune buggies. They commented on every moving object they saw.
They had lots of fun riding the fourwheeler. Vance is still learning how, but he's getting better and better.
Colton is a pro. He rode it around and around and around. The only hiccup was when he decided was done so he jumped off and the fourwheeler continued toward our car!!! Luckily I was right there so I could stop it!
Right after going on the first ride my dad realized there was a hole in the axle boot. We tried patching it up with electrical tape, but that wasn't working. My dad has serious determination when it comes to the sand dunes so he rode from camp to camp asking in anyone had the part he needed. Here he is proudly showing it off.While the guys repaired the dune buggy, Vance and Colton played with the Cars figures on the trailer.

They also had plenty of fun sitting on the fourwheelers and dune buggy and soaking it all up.The trip was a success minus the $125 ticket we got :( I can't wiat for our next trip!This is my FAVORITE PICTURE!!! Vance looks a little slow, but I think it's hilarious.

If you don't have this...

you need it! This is one of the best cook books. Everything starts with a cake mix and then you add a few ingredients to create something yummy. My absolute favorite is a chocolate bundt cake. It takes exactly like a cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes. The recipes aren't just for cakes. They are for cookies and bars and stuff too.

For less than $10 it's a must have!

Oktoberfest 2010

It's time for the Sutton Annual Oktoberfest! First we played a little GHOST (Halloween bingo).

Bingo has definitley become a family favorite!

Dad was the caller, but he got slightly annoyed with how loud we were being...too bad!

Briton helped Vance play. He was more interested in eating the M&M markers than playing though.

Grandma and Grandpa gave everyone these cool Halloween cups as well as a bunch of other goodies.

We played Halloween charades. For participating Grandma gave everyone a treat. Vance was so proud of himself.

Jennie was acting out "witch." Kind of familiar isn't it....j/k

Here is my sweet mom who puts in so much effort to make sure the evening is fun.

We also played a Halloween ball toss game. The winner got the cute candy corn bag my mom is displaying above.

Rob won even though Vance tried his best :(

Zach was leading us all in a little dance party. Note to self - never, EVER go dancing in public with my sisters.

The last activity was musical chairs. Things got a little crazy there for awhile, but Rob finally won. Apparently the underlying theme of the night was "Rob wins!"

By the end of the night we had all eaten so much you had to roll us out the door. This is one of my favorite family traditions. I love to think of all the fun memories we are making together. Thanks Dad and especially Mom for putting it all together!
