3 Months

Keller at 3 months! I had him wear the same thing Vance did when we took his 3 month pictures. They are some of my favorite baby boy clothes and I wanted Keller to wear them too. I don't plan on always using the same clothes, but I just couldn't resist this once. I promise you Keller - we won't always do things the exact same way we did with Vance!

I would say they definitely resemble each other even when they aren't dressed in the same clothes. Good thing I think Vance is adorable because most of the time I have deja vu when I look at Keller. I am blessed with two beautiful boys!!!

I can't believe Keller is 3 months old already! He is getting so big so fast. He is a pretty good baby. I wouldn't say that he is super easy but definitely not difficult either. He loves all of his toys and is starting to reach for things and interact more. He smiles, but he makes you work for it. He loves to coo when you talk to him. He loves showers and baths! He almost always falls asleep in the car, and he is a really good eater.

He is NOT the best sleeper. We have been working on getting him on a loose sleeping schedule but we are making pretty slow progress. I let him cry for awhile but he has a hard time self-soothing still. It's getting better now that he figured out how to suck his fingers and rub his head (so funny to watch!). He still wakes up twice a night and then starts stirring around 6 or 6:30. He's a little high maintenance after that but doesn't really wake up all the way until around 8:00. We will sleep through the night one day...right??????

That's about it for Keller right now. I love my baby boy!

Bumbos, bouncers, and more

His onesie says it all. This baby boy is "adored!" We are loving having a baby around again. He is so much fun!

His smile melts my heart every single time. It NEVER gets old!

Look at those sturdy thighs. I hope they keep getting bigger.

Keller is loving all of his baby gear. He is content to sit in any one of his toys for about 20-30 minutes. They help me get a lot accomplished during the day!

He loves the bouncer with the lights and toys. Just this week he started purposefully playing with the toys and not just hitting them on accident.

He is so fascinated with the blue lights that twinkle when he plays.

He likes his playmat too. I try to use it to encourage him to like tummy time. He's not so sure about being on his belly but he'll do it for a little at least.

He can't stay in the Bumbo for too long because his neck muscles get tired. He likes it while it lasts though.

Most of the time I catch Vance sitting in the Bumbo. I think we might need two :)

His other favorite is the swing but I don't have any pictures of that. Most of the time it makes him fall asleep and we don't EVER want to disturb that!

The Girls

I was able to get together with my 3 best friends from high school last weekend. I am beyond blessed to have these girls in my life. We were super close in high school and have managed to keep the relationship up even though we all live in different states and are at different phases in our life.

I think it's been over a year, maybe even close to two years, since we all got together last. This reunion was long overdue! We got together at Brooke's parent's house here in Vegas. We had dinner and visited for hours. It was so wonderful. I brought Keller so they could all meet him.

Brooke's mom held Keller while we ate. He smiled when she said hello (which he never does) and fell asleep while she held him. She must be the baby whisperer!

The day before Amanda and Lauren came over to spend some time with Vance too. It took him awhile to warm up but then he was all smiles.

Vance didn't understand why my friends didn't bring their kids over. I tried explaining to him that they didn't have kids, but he was not understanding at all! I can't wait for them to all start having babies one day.

We should have two weddings in the next year or two to reunite us again :)

Pumpkin Patch

We made our annual stop at the pumpkin patch last week! It was my mom, Amy, Colton, me and my two boys. Colton and Vance ran the show. They ran around telling us exactly what everything was and what they wanted to do. We barely got them to stop for a few pictures.

Our group shot! I love, love, LOVE fall. Halloween is my 2nd favorite holiday. I just love it!

I wanted to take a picture of Keller in the pumpkins. He wasn't too happy but I managed to snap a few before he really got mad.

We opted not to go in and pet the animals but we did stop and look for awhile.

Grandma spoils these two boys rotten. They are lucky to have such a fun grandma!

I think this might be my favorite pic of the day! Vance is at such a fun age. He is so fun and just loves life. He is curious and excited about everything and it's so fun to watch (most the time). I love my Vancers!!!

6 Years

We have been married 6 years on September 30th!!! Time flies when you're having fun :) For our anniversary we went on a date while my AMAZING sister babysat. She had both kids from like 4:00 to midnight. We were SO appreciative.We started out with dinner at El Patio. It's a Mexican restaurant down by UNLV. We had never been there, but it was so yummy. If you ever stop by, get the guacamole - delish! After that we went to the Champions Series Tennis tournament. In order to play in the tournament you had to be seated as the #1 player in the world and win at least one grand slam single's title. Well between the four players - Pete Sampras, Andre Agassi, John McEnroe, Jim Courier - they had won 33 titles!!!

Let's just say it was the most amazing tennis I have ever seen live. In the picture above Sampras is serving so fast you can hardly even see his racquet. Are you freaking kidding?! I also learned my tennis game is missing a few tricks - the racquet flip for example:

The first semi-final set was McEnroe and Sampras. The second semi-final set was Agassi and Courier. The final set was the infamous rivalry of Sampras and Agassi. Here are some pictures of McEnroe and Courier playing.

I was surprised by how funny the players were in between points. There was a lot of playful banter. The scoreboard below is legendary! I am glad we got the chance to see it!

We saw a few fist pumps. I also think I need to add that to my game. Maybe I should get a little better first...

My favorite joke of the night was Agassi yelling to Sampras when he was up 2 games, "What happened to you Pete? You used to be so good!" Sampras then walked out of the arena with his head down. haha Luckily for us he came back.

We splurged a little on the tickets and I'm so glad we did. We each got to cross something off our bucket list!

For our gifts I found the cutest idea on one of my favorite websites (thedatingdivas.com). The gift was all about the five senses: smell, taste, sound, sight, and touch.

For sound I gave him a mix of all of our favorite love songs. For touch I gave him massage oil. For sight I gave him some lingerie ;)

For taste I gave him some carrot cupcakes. For smell I gave him a candle.

It was a simple (and cheap) gift, but Chad loved it. Chad gave me a gift certificate to get a massage. My favorite!!! I plan on redeeming it on my birthday in a few weeks.

Our anniversary was wonderful and I can't wait for more!

Around the House

We've been hanging out at the house a little more trying to get Keller on a better sleeping schedule. It's slow progress but we are making baby steps. Consequently I have had a few more things to do around the house.

I saw a few ideas of things to do with paint samples. I finally decided to try making one of them. You get two samples of each color. Then you cut one and glue it on a clothespin. Your child tries to clip the clothespin onto the matching color. It's teaching Vance how to differentiate between shades of the same color and is improving his hand dexterity.
They also said it was great for practicing cutting straight lines. Vance concentrates so hard when he is cutting. I love watching his tongue move around.

Life is a little uneventful, but that is good every once in awhile!

Simple & Sweet

Chad has been so super busy this semester. Sometimes it gets a little overwhelming for him so I've been trying my best to be a supportive wife. I came across this website with cute printables. All you had to do was buy a few treats and you have simple and sweet gifts with words of encouragement for your sweetie. I made a whole bunch and plan on giving them to Chad once or twice a week throughout the semester.
I'm a sucker for stuff like this. I'm a firm believer that it's the little things we do for each other that count the most!

I love you Chad and hope my little goodies make at least a few days easier :)
