Keller used his stay-at-home with mom day. He requested Raising Canes for lunch and we watched some Netflix together.
Vance had Solo & Ensemble for choir. He sang one of the more difficult solo options and received a 1 (the highest rating). Way to go buddy!
We grabbed our blankets and headed to the movies with my parents and the Mathewsons one night.
The boys worked together to put up the Christmas lights. It kinda stresses me out to watch them up on the roof but I love watching them work together to make our house ready for the holidays.
Chad had another session on his tattoo. The artist worked on the shading and it looks so good. I can't wait to see the progression of his sleeve.
Forney has an annual tree lighting event. It is mellow but small town fun. We enjoyed some hot chocolate and snapped a photo in front of the tree.
We have been reading "The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus" this December. It's a cute book about how Santa came to be. It's fun to listen to each of the boys take a turn reading. There is something magical about reading Christmas books by the tree :)
We go on lots of drives during December. We have checked out all the local lights and have a few favorites. Next year we are going to up our game!
Sutton helped Grandma make some chocolate pretzel treats.
The boys have had lots of dress up days at school. I keep forgetting to take pictures but we did get one on Ugly Sweater Day.
Vance dressed up for flannel day, ugly sweater day, and bring anything but a backpack to school day.
We don't write names on the Christmas gifts. Each person is assigned a wrapping paper and then the boys try to figure out which paper belongs to which person. Keller collected all the bows as they fell of the presents. His bow-head cracks me up!
The boys shook and shook but Chad and I were pretty sneaky this year. They weren't able to figure it out!
Sutton really had us laughing when he tied the ribbon around himself as a "shirt." Is that sexy or what?!

We have been enjoying turning the lights down off and watching holiday movies with the Christmas tree lights on.
Our favorite house is about 10 minutes away and they have like 30 songs. This year they added a feature where you could vote for what songs get played. We left a Christmas card and giftcard for them to show our appreciation for how they add holiday cheer to our family.
Amy had an 80s themed holiday party. It was fun and she did a great job!
Sutton has been leaving notes for the elf. My favorite is the bottom left where he asks if Dasher is going to tell Santa if he has been good or bad.

One cold but sunny day we enjoyed some pickleball at the park with the Mathewsons. The kids are getting better and better!
One of Sutton's friends invited the family over for an outdoor movie. They rented an inflatable screen and chairs. They showed The Grinch and even had the Grinch swing by!
We dropped off a card and giftcard to our favorite house with the most amazing lights choreographed to music. They have a great playlist and beautiful lights!
Winter break means sleepovers!
Colton wasn't sure he wanted a picture with Santa. Aunt Alli may have nudged him along and forced a picture anyway ;)
We decided to rent a bounce house last minute. It was a really good deal and we thought it would be fun for winter break. It was definitely a hit and we got our money's worth out of it!
Sutton got new lights for his bike and is feeling pretty speedy and stylish!
We've enjoyed some morning mini bike rides!
