That's a wrap - Keller

First up for the end of the year events with Keller was field day.  Vance didn't care for me to come but Keller was a firm yes.  He loves to give me a hug and always asks for a few pictures with his friends.  He was all smiles and it was cute to see him with his buddies.

They had an awards assembly for first grade and Keller received the A Honor Roll as well as the Art Award.

 Keller's friends are just as silly as he is.  

 First grade teachers should get extra blessings and this teacher in particular.  Ms. Hayman was wonderful and we will miss her!

 I didn't get a picture of the awards ceremony but Keller earned the highest level (platinum) at his Wednesday church class.  You earn points by memorizing scripture verses each week.  I'm proud of him for working hard and he loves his new Platinum shirt.

On our way home from the last day of school we stopped at Sonic for drinks!

Our first order of business was swimming of course!!!

Way to go Keller on another great year!  Now let's go enjoy summer!

Road trip to Austin

Our family snuck away for a quick trip to Austin.  It was so nice to get away and provided some much needed fun.

For the boys it seems like the best part of going out of town is the food.  They love picking each meal and then talk about it forever after we are done.  It cracks me up how much boys really do love food.  Our first meal they choose pizza so I found a cool pizza place in downtown Round Rock.  

 As we walked around downtown there was a little construction and for some reason the boys were all super excited to use the port-a-potty.  GROSS!!

 There is a super popular donut place in Round Rock so we figured we would buy a dozen and save them for breakfast the next day.  They were yummy!

 We stayed with our friends Beckie and Jared Walker.  Chad and I went to high school with Jared and absolutely love his sweet wife and two adorable daughters.  

My favorite part might have been loving on their squishy 10-month-old who also happens to be the biggest snuggle ever.  It was perfection!  She loved Vance and it was so cute to see them all cuddled up.  It almost made me want a baby but not quite.

Beckie and Jared live in a neighborhood with an amazing community pool.  It had rained earlier in the day and it must've kept everyone away because we had the entire place to ourselves.  The water was too chilly for me but everyone else had a blast.

 I just love the look on Sutton's face.  The boy is having the time of his life!

 We played a few games and just enjoyed visiting and watching the kiddos play.  That night Vance babysat after we put the baby to bed and we went to dinner with just the adults.  We laughed so hard and stayed up way too late!

The next day we attended the AVP pro beach volleyball tournament which is really what sparked this whole trip in the first place.  Once a year Austin hosts a tournament so I put it on my calendar and made sure we got there.  It was beyond humid and pretty warm.  We all sweat buckets and applied lots of sunscreen. I was proud of the boys for not complaining because it really was freaking hot.

 We all loved it and everyone wants to go back next year despite the heat.  I didn't get pictures of everything but the boys had fun jumping in the bounce houses and collecting free samples from all the tournament sponsors.

 For the women's championship game we were able to get front row seats.  In between games they always throw stuff to the crowd and with three adorable kiddos we had our fair share of items thrown our way.  The boys love their new volleyballs and are talking about how they want to play beach volleyball when they grow up (YESSSSSS!!!).

 We were all pretty tired on the trip home.  It cracked me up to look back and see Sutton passed out with a volleyball in each hand.

That's a wrap - Sutton

Sutton completed another year of preschool.  We LOVED Ms. Waleta and Ms. Wendy.  They made this year so great for him.  Half way through the year he started going four days because he was a little bored at home and it was definitely the right choice.  

 His best bud, Jacob, also went to school four days.  I'm sure they caused a little craziness but they managed to stay out of trouble.  They are both getting so big!!!

 Sutton also celebrated completing his first year of Awana Cubbies at church.  He learned 25 verses but mostly just loved being old enough to go to church with the big boys on Wednesday night.

Way to go on a great year Sutton!

Blaze Soccer

Vance joined a new soccer team this season and it was a refreshing change.  The coaches were great and the boys were so friendly.  Here is Blaze soccer team -

 My favorite soccer player -

 He played mostly keeper and defender with a little offense here and there.  I only brought my camera to one game and he played mainly keeper so not a ton of variety with the pictures but I wanted to include them nonetheless.

 They made it to the playoffs but lost in the first round.

Vance enjoyed playing with more experienced players and definitely improved over the season.  He also scored a few goals which is always fun.  I love watching him play!
