Spring Break @ Leslie's

Leslie's activity was going on a hike in Redrock.  The weather couldn't have been more beautiful that day!
Keller "hiked" for about 2.5 seconds and than we all took turns holding him.  Joys of having a 2 year old!

Leslie packed a picnic lunch for everyone.
Then after lunch everyone just explored the rocks by the picnic tables.

We all felt dirty and gross afterwards so we headed to the indoor pool in Leslie's cul-de-sac.

Vance is seriously the best back-floater.  He just lays there forever. Sometimes I worry he might actually fall asleep and drown!

Spring Break @ Grandma's

Grandma won the prize for most effort into her activity.  She hardboiled one dozen eggs for each kid and had tons of stuff to decorate eggs.  She rocks! (especially because this is an activity I dread doing at home).

Keller was the egg thief! If someone left their eggs unattended, you can guarantee Keller swiped one and put it in a cup of dye. Then he would look at you (see below) like "What?!"

Thanks Grandma!!!!!
Afterward the kids were ready to chill (I don't blame them!) so they grabbed their tablets and relaxed.  It's kind of pathetic to see so many young kids with iPads, etc but I guess that's just the way it is these days!

Spring Break @ Our House

Next up was our house! First Chad grilled everyone some hot dogs and we had lunch.
Then we headed to one of the parks in our community that has a pretty fun splash pad.

Look at all those boys!!!
Vance's favorite part is this huge water wheel thing.  He has his favorite spot to stand and then if you're patient...
you got a lot of water dumped on you. He loves it every time!

Then the older boys stayed at the park and played basketball while we took the younger boys to another park in our community to play tennis.

Of course we had a sleepover too!!!

Spring Break @ Amy's

This year my sisters, Mom, and I have all been so busy we don't get the kids together as often as we'd like.  We all made an extra effort to clear our schedules over spring break and hang out as often as possible! Amy had the great idea of everyone being responsible for one day.  Nobody did anything crazy, yet we never got bored either.  The kids never got sick of each other either.

In addition to activities during the day we had lots of sleepovers.  Vance had five, yes FIVE, sleepovers in a row with Colton.  Some at our house, some at Amy's and one at Grandma's.  Those two are inseparable!

Amy's day was first.  We all met at the church so the kids could play basketball.  The older four could play basketball all day, every day.

The younger three don't exactly play basketball but they had fun anyway :)
Keller came up with his own creative way of making baskets.  He would instead in front of one of the older boys...
Throw the ball over his head back to them...
Then they would make a basket for him!
We played a few games of freeze tag with the kids and adults.  I sucked!

Then we headed back to Amy's for lunch and swimming!
Keller was all smiles for about 2 minutes and then decided he would rather just jump on the trampoline and watch the other boys swim.

Vance on the other hand is a fish and couldn't be happier to swim the afternoon away.

The adults just sat and visited.  We did end up having a bit of a water fight with the boys thanks to my mom!
Then while all of the kids played video games for a little bit the adults had a ping pong tournament.

I beat everyone and was the undisputed champion! Yes!!!

Lastly Vance used the Rainbow loom to make a few bracelets.  These things are all the craze lately so he was excited for Aunt Amy to teach him how it's done.

More spring break fun coming soon!
