For Labor Day we headed to Panguitch Lake with all of the Sutton family. We had been so busy preparing for Chad to leave that it was a much needed break. The weather was beautiful and the kids were amazing. It was pretty much the perfect 3-day weekend.
Keller literally rode his bike for hours. He can ride a bike with pedals but his balance bike is his absolutely favorite! He does the most hilarious jumps and tricks.
The Terrys don't usually come camping so it was fun to have their family there too!
This open, flat area was perfect for three flies up -
I just love how silly Logan, Amy's oldest, is. That boy is almost always smiling!
We didn't catch near as many fish as usual but we had fun trying.
Ashleen was one of the few lucky ones to catch a fish. The funny part is Alex, my cousin, tried to pick it up to take a picture and it slipped out of his hands back into the lake. Here is a picture of her reeling it in but I didn't get the picture of the fish before it got away. Way to go Alex! Haha

Not to brag but I make the world's best bagel sandwiches for breakfast. It is toasted bagels, with cheese, canadian bacon, and fried eggs. Every part if perfectly cooked and I very, very rarely break a yolk. I don't brag about my cooking usually but these...well...I nail them! Haha. While I was cooking, Colton was pretty interested so I taught him all I know about cooking fried eggs. He was pretty proud and talked to me about eggs the rest of the trip ;)
The older boys worked on earning their camping merit badge for boy scouts all weekend. Here they are helping Grandma make homemade strawberry ice cream. It was delicious as usual.
All the boys love to ride their bikes. They make up quite a crew! They rode around for hours!
Vance has been begging us for almost a year to do a lemonade stand. I think it sounds awful. I do not want to do a lemonade stand. Chad said he would do it but never has. Well I found this cute cardboard stand at Ikea. I bought it and Chad decided the camping trip would be a great time for a lemonade stand. Colton is all about earning a buck and Vance was happy to have his help. How cute are they?!
Everyone bought a glass (or two). After paying Chad back for the lemonade (got to teach this boy real life lessons!) and graciously splitting his money with Colton, he had like $7. He was pretty stoked. It was adorable :)
We had so much fun visiting around the campfire. We laughed and laughed. I always love hanging out with the Suttons.
In the mornings, my family is usually up way before everyone else. I try to let them sleep a little longer and take my boys on a car ride when they woke up. Keller was thrilled to sit in the front seat and count cows and deer with me.
Keller spent most of the weekend by Brayden. They could take their bikes up this hill next to our camp and ride down it, Then repeat. Over and over again.
Keller is a hold out when it comes to learning and I never really know what he is absorbing. With preschool in session again I wanted to know what he knew. In his evaluation with his teacher he basically acted like he didn't know anything, but I was pretty sure he did. I took advantage of a weekend with my former preschool teaching sister to get some help ;) He actually knew even more than I thought. Amy looked at me like "I don't understand what you're wanting my help with." Little stinker! I guess I'm relieved to know he is understanding what I"m teaching him even if 95% of the time he acts like he doesn't know it.
He adorable and thoughtful does he look writing his letters?! Afterwards he read his book to everyone who was willing to listen.
Chad took a nap on the bench cuddling my aunt and uncle's dog.
Vance asked Uncle Greg to take him on a ride. He was all smiles when he got back. he even got to drive for a little bit ;)

We went on lots of walks. It is so nice to be in the fresh air.
One afternoon Keller hung out with my Uncle Chad while he played horseshoes. They must've been over there for at least an hour. He would watch my uncle throw them and talk nonstop. Every once in awhile he would throw the horseshoes (aka place directly by the stake).
We had reserved a group camping spot and it was perfect for our crew. This is most of us eating dinner one night.
The kids had fun playing in Grandma and Grandpa Sutton's trailer one night.
By the end of the weekend the boys were exhausted -
It was a great trip! It still feels weird that Grandma and Grandpa Sutton aren't there but I'm so glad we still get together as a family. I'm sure they were watching over us ;)
