Pumpkin Patch

Leslie and I took our kids to the pumpkin patch by our house.  It was $10 for unlimited bounce houses.  Well let's just say 4 hours later we got our money's worth :)

Isn't this just the cutest little face ever?!

Vance had some money saved and decided he wanted to spend it on a pony ride.  I don't think it was worth it but he loved it.

When we got there the bounce houses weren't blown up yet so the boys took a "nap."

I wasn't sure if Keller would like it or not but he had a blast too!

The twins wanted to take Keller.  I love their faces in the top picture.  They are thinking, "Hmm...I'm not sure we really know what the heck we are doing!"

Keller is a social butterfly!  He would be the BEST kid to take to a park if you were a single guy looking to find a date.  He goes up to all the women with his arms up and just wants to them to hold him or sit on their lap.  You can't really tell in this picture but all of these adults were dancing with him and taking his picture.  He was like 25 feet away from us.  He cracks me up!  He was a dancing fool all night.  He literally danced for at least an hour.

We had a fun night!  Now we are ready for Halloween!

I took my sister and her family out to Nelson's Landing for some family pictures.  There are so many cool places/props that it was kind of overwhelming.  It was fun to shoot a family with older kids who could look and listen without lots of encouragement :)

 

I am a member of a photo club.  The guy in charge recently organized a "trash the dress" photo safari.  It was a blast!  The first few models in the red dresses were a little more difficult to shoot but the next two were amazing to work with!

I also tested out my remote and tripod recently.  It took a lot of tweaking but I finally got a few decent ones.

Family Bike Ride

I love my birthday present (my birthday is actually the 29th so this is an early present).  Chad and I got bikes and a bike seat for Keller!!!  We have been wanting to go on family bike rides but our road bikes don't really work well for that and the baby bjorn really isn't made for bike riding :)

I told Chad and I wanted to be able to go on family bike rides and now we have everything we need.  Vance was giddy about it on our first ride and he crashed like 3 times because he was too excited to pay attention to the road.

I wasn't sure Keller would like his new seat, but he hardly made a fuss the entire time. 

There will be a lot more family bike rides in our future!

House Painting

I bought a cardboard house for Vance.  I thought he might get a kick out of it and it would occupy for a couple of hours.  Well, he loved it and it provided hours and hours of fun!

A few times a day he would strip down to his underwear, go outside, and paint his house.

He recruited a few cousins along the way.

Sometimes I don't know if they were painting the house or themselves.

Here's the finished product.  Vance wrote "Waldron" on one side and "Vance" on the other.

And yes - he's been sleeping in it ever since :)

Leslie's Kitchen

Leslie planned a fun cooking day at her house.  She had made gobs and gobs of sugar cookie dough and frosting.  She also made cupcakes and homemade pizza for lunch.  Both the kids and adults had fun.

Everyone brought over pumpkins to decorate since we were all too lazy to carve pumpkins with our kids.

First up was letting the kids frost some cupcakes and cookies.  They were a frosting/sprinkled mess by the end!

I wanted to try a different frosting method so I convinced Briton to come help me and we went to town.  Some turned out better than others but fairly cute overall!

Amy preferred to visit (she's not much of a baker) and my mom was frosting/sprinkle queen!!!

Then we let the kids decorate their pumpkins with all of Leslie's craft supplies.

Keller just crawled around everyone's feet all day :)

I love Vance's glitter pumpkin, especially the pipe cleaner hair :)

Vance had written Colton a letter and was silly-excited to give it to him.  They are really best friends.

Leslie is #1 - just ask her!

Yes sometimes I put my son's food on the ground and feed him like a dog :)

Here's a picture of the majority of the cookies we made.  We all went home with cookies for all of the different events we coming up in the next couple of weeks.
