Keller. Keller. Keller. Where to start?! To get me started here are a few quick Keller-antics:
Keller refused to say "please" or anything even remotely close for a really long time. I am not one to give into crying fits so we worked on being happy before I would fulfill his request. Then he started doing the funniest thing. He can't talk so usually figuring out what he's asking for is a bit of a guessing game. HOWEVER, when you get it right you immediately know. He starts dancing, clapping, and excitedly shouting "Yeah, yeah, yeah!"
***I finally got him to say "Up please" when he wants to get held. Now he says "Uppee" for "please" when he wants anything.
Keller prefers to be held. When you try to put him down he will hold his legs straight out parallel to the floor and refuse to stand up. Sometimes his core strength is actually fairly impressive. Lol
Keller has funny little quirks with his hands when you're holding him. He loves to give you the occasional pat on the back. So sweet! When he wants you to go faster he will pump his arms forward and back to give you the extra momentum you need. Haha. Lastly, if he doesn't feel like you are paying enough attention to him, he will put his hand on your cheek and literally turn your face so you are looking at him.
Keller is starting to mimic what you say and his little voice is absolutely adorable. My favorites are "thank you" and "yeah." He adds a "sh" at the beginning so it's more like "shank you" and "sh-yeah."
Every single morning Keller comes to my bedside and says "cars." He is relentless about it until I finally go downstairs and turn Cars 2 on TV. I cannot even begin to tell you how sick I am of that movie!
Keller can throw quite the fit. He will throw himself down on the ground, throw things, shake with anger, turn red, run in circles, cry big alligator tears, kick, jump and land on his butt, etc. I'm telling you this boy is a DIVA!
Keller has three favorite cars. He takes them EVERYWHERE. He eats with, sleeps with them, takes them in the car, etc. He even has them by him when he plays with other toys. Heaven help us if you ever loses one!
Keller has a flailing run. If you're a Friends fan - think Phoebe. It's hilarious!
Keller has the most priceless expressions. I can't even describe them, but he can grab your heart and tug the strings however he wants! His entire countenance just beams through his body when he is happy.
Keller loves all of the family, but especially his grandpas! I think it helps that they both drive trucks. Whenever we pull up at either of their houses he immediately points to their trucks and says "Papa tru." Then he goes it, grabs their keys, and demands a ride.
Keller also loves my niece Briton (we call her B). He calls every girl from about 10-20 "B." Obviously they never respond but it always makes me laugh.
Keller loves gum and ice cream. He would gladly have those two items be the extent of his daily intake.
Keller is so good at playing by himself. He likes to know that you are in the room but if you stay still he kind of forgets about you and will play for hours. I will stay relatively stationary at all costs when Keller is being good. It seems silly but if you get up and move around he almost immediately quits playing and thinks he needs you.
Keller is true boy. His favorite things are cars, planes, monster trucks, wrestling, balls, growling, riding bikes, etc.
Keller loves keys. If you're around him you better hide them or else he will take them. Luckily he hasn't ever lost any. He walks around and tries using them to open every door, cupboard, hinge, etc. It keeps him occupied for quite awhile!
Lastly, Keller is a charmer. You know that extra little something you either have or you don't? Keller has an extra dose of it! He really is absolutely adorable and knows how to use it to his advantage!

I decided to have banana splits on his actual birthday. Keller LOVES ice cream and this was a definite hit. He sat there and jibber-jabbered for at least 15 minutes as he ate his dessert.
