Amy Visits!!!

Amy came to visit for a few days and it was perfection! It's always so much fun to get to spend time together.

We went out to lunch in Dallas one afternoon -

 Then we headed to my FAVE popsicle joint - Steel City Pops!

 Amy wanted to do a craft so we made some bath bombs while she was here. There was definitely a learning curve but they still turned out cute and Chad and the boys could hardly wait to try them!

 Chad was the official tester for the first bath bomb.  He put a swimsuit on and we watched the bath bomb fizzle. He's such a good sport! Hahaha

 We also went to the kids' games. The kids were thrilled to have another cheerleader in the stands.

The time flew by and I'm already counting down the days until I go to Vegas in February!

River Trip

Chad and I headed out of town with a few of our friends: Will and Julie Sloan, Eric and Kate Keierleber, and Chris and Becca Snapka.  The trip was soon much fun and just what the doctor ordered!

The girls left town a little early so we could go grocery shopping and get settled in the house we rented.

We celebrated Eric's birthday while we were gone. We thought we were pretty hilarious with the unicorn cake! Haha

These girls are the BEST!!!

Our first night we headed out to dinner at a Mexican restaurant. The food was just kinda medium but the company was fantastic!

The next morning we woke up, ate some breakfast and got ready to go float the river! Chad was rocking his America sunglasses -

And Becca apparently needed binoculars to help navigate ;)

We made it to the river and snapped one quick picture before the floating began -

The float was so fun and so relaxing!

We headed back to the house and chilled for awhile before getting ready and heading to dinner and dancing. We took some pictures as we waited for everyone to get ready -

I have no idea what Becca and Chad are talking about but this pictures cracks me up!

The next morning we packed up and headed home. It was a quick trip but full of laughs and we are already trying to get the next trip on the calendar.

Labor Day @ Joe Pool Lake

We haven't been able to go to the lake near as much as we would've liked to this summer so we were thrilled to get a lake day in over Labor Day weekend. The weather was perfect, everyone had a blast, and I took WAY too many pictures ;)

We usually have to beg Keller to try anything new so I was beyond proud of him for not only trying kneeboarding but continuing to try even after he fell a few times. Much to his dismay I think he may have even like it. He tried his hardest not to smile but he loved it!

It was cute to see Vance so excited for Keller. He took videos and cheered him on from the boat ;)

Then it was his turn!

I started a little rusty but I found my mojo eventually

Then I tried kneeboarding for the first time (I think...or at least I never remember trying before). It was comical at first but I did figure it out!

Chad tore it up as usual and looked sexy doing it I might add ;)

We all watched in awe from the boat ;)

Grandpa had a good run too!

There was a playground near the beach that the kids had fun playing on.

They also ate their bodyweight in Cheetos ;)

After awhile they were ready to take a break from playing in the sand so we went tubing. Once again I was so proud of Keller. He usually cried when we tell him that he at least has to try one short ride. This time he was all smiles and had a blast!

I love this picture of my smiling boys. It reminds me of all the times I was silly on the tubes with my sisters.

Sutton and Grandma were equally adventurous on their ride ;)

Then Vance wanted a turn with Mom and Dad ;)
