I celebrated my 33rd birthday. The boys got me couple giftcards that I can't wait to use. The best part of the day was that Chad worked from home and got all the kids off to school while I slept in. I know it's lame but my day was pretty much made by that. Then Chad and I slipped away for a lunch date and later that night the boys baked some bagel bombs with me.
Birthday month means it's time for a new piece of jewelry from Kendra Scott and a free bundt cake!
90% of the time Vance falls asleep on the way to volleyball. He looks like such a teenager all sprawled out in the passenger seat. He does visit with me on the way home at least ;)
Keller is such a cutie and I love his school photo.
Vance his part of his school's student council (Eagle Council). The advisors posted a collage of them working on Thanksgiving cards so I thought I would share it too :)
Chad and I love an at-home date night. We bought yummy cheeses and wine, put on our pajamas, and turned on HGTV. Perfection!
I had the brilliant idea of making blankets for the five of us for Christmas. We all LOVE comfy blankets so I picked out the perfect fabrics. Well buying the material was fun, but I forgot how much work blankets are!!!
We set up shop at my parent's house and eventually we had them all tied.
The thought of binding them made my stomach hurt. Luckily for me, my mom has a friend who was interesting in trading a photo session for her sewing services. Hallelujah!!! I hope the boys absolutely love these blankets because I'll never make them again.
I also had the idea to make the boys surprise bath bombs. They LOVE to take baths and they think bath bombs are the bomb (pun intended). I found these MLS figurines to put in each one so every time they take a bath they'll have a little surprise.
These were way easier than quilts but I need to remind myself next year that I want to buy all of my gifts.
Chad and the boys went to Texas A&M to see a football game. Apparently their stadium is the largest in Texas and seats over 102,000 people! Chad said it was such a cool experience and he loved the school pride. They had fun wandering around campus and tailgating before the game.
The boys loved the free A&M pins people were handing out.
We are all loving our new dogs. They are spoiled rotten and get lots of cuddles!
One day Sutton came home from school saying he thought he needed new shoes. I was mortified when I looked down and saw how they were literally falling apart...mom fail!
Keller is a part of school Gifted and Talented program at school. He is the only kid in his class who is a part of the program and they asked him to do a class presentation about natural disasters. He is shy and surprisingly doesn't love to be the center of attention (unless he is telling a joke) so I was nervous for him.
His face turned bright red but he fought off the nerves and did fantastic. I was incredibly proud of him for being so brave.
My mom, Jennie, and I went to see Cats the musical. I know it's a classic so I've always wanted to see it but at the same time I thought I wouldn't like the storyline. Well I was definitely correct. The plot is bizarre but the costumes, singing, and phenomenal dancing made up for it. The final version of "Memories" had me covered with goosebumps.
Keller recently tried out for a new baseball team called the Crocs. He was stoked to make the team so I bought a few green treats to celebrate him joining a new team.
We took the boys to Petco to get the dogs name tags.
Of course Keller picked out a baseball tag for Babe (Ruth) and Sutton and Vance picked out a pink bone for Autumn.
Vance also insisted we buy the dogs the hot dog clearance costumes. I bet him they would hate the clothes and I'm sad to report that for some reason they liked them.
Vance fell asleep one night holding his volleyball. I think we found what sport he is passionate about...
I recently got Botox in between my eyes. Excuse the dumb face I'm making in the pictures (it's what shows the line the best) because I wanted to document the improvement. I don't mind the other signs of aging that are slowly starting to appear but I have a permanent line in between my brows and I hated it. I told Chad all I wanted for my birthday was Botox so that's what I got. #thisis33
